We’re hiring one (1) temporary, full‑time Custodian 1 to join our team at the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant in Edmonton, AB. This role is for a term of up to 11 months.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance Facilities, the Custodian 1 will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment. In this position, you will:
- Perform a variety of moderate cleaning duties using standard custodial equipment to keep EPCOR Water facilities, buildings, equipment, and surrounding areas clean, orderly, and secure
- Support team members as needed
- Follow all required safety precautions, policies, and procedures
- Complete other related tasks as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
Your qualifications, experience, and behaviours include:
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary education
- Minimum of one year of custodial experience in an industrial environment
- Working knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used when performing minor equipment maintenance and custodial duties
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Basic understanding of safety practices related to custodial work
- Demonstrated knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and WHMIS
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (a pre‑placement medical clearance is required)
As an ideal candidate, you are self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and a clear communicator. You work well independently, are comfortable using specialized cleaning tools and equipment, and maintain strong, cooperative working relationships. You bring a solid safety record and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
